On January 18, 2024, 19 master students enrolled in the MA-Seminar “Digital Innovation & Business Planning“ (DIB) at the Chair of Accounting and Management Control (Prof. Dr. Thomas M. Fischer), jointly with Siemens Healthineers and Valsight, presented their inspiring business ideas to address major challenges in the healthcare sector. The final pitch took place on site at Siemens Healthineers in Forchheim, where the student participants convinced the cross-functional top management and expert jury. The presentations and intensive discussions were followed by an exclusive tour through the Siemens Healthineers Experience Center.

We would like to express a very big “thank you!“ to all who made this seminar possible, especially the members of the Siemens Healthineers top management, Katharina Hesels (Head of Business Line Installed Base Development), Michaela Kesselring (Executive Associate to Dr. Jochen Schmitz, CFO), Stephan Pierer von Esch (Head of Finance Customer Services), and Dr. Stefan Henkel (Head of IT), the instructors Martina Thaler (Head of CS Finance Performance Controlling), Bradley Waters (Consultant & Design Thinker), and Nina Scharrer (CS CRM Controlling), as well as advisors from Valsight for providing their excellent and valuable expert knowledge!

We are looking forward to the final business plans to be handed in by February 28, 2024!

Prof. Dr. Thomas M. Fischer and Christof Neunsinger, M.Sc.
